Minulla on näköjään menossa aikamatkailu-kausi. Pidin tässä kirjassa erityisesti siitä, että Maclean on hyvin pitkään näkymätön. Hänen muuttumisensa todelliseksi mieheksi tapahtuu vaiheittain ja muutoksen seuraaminen tarjoaa lukijalle hauskoja hetkiä. Bella puolestaan ei istu nykyaikaiseen kauneus-käsitykseen ja kärsii heikosta itsetunnosta. Maclean auttaa häntä kehittämään itseluottamusta muuttuen samalla itse paremmaksi ihmiseksi. Hyvä kirja, kiva romanssi ja hieman taikuutta, mysteeriä ja jännitystäkin. Mukava paketti, kivaa kesälukemista. Kirja olisi varmasti sytyttänyt enemmänkin, jos en olisi lukenut Karen Marie Moningin Highlander-sarjan kirjoja sitä ennen. Tämä kalpenee väkisinkin vertailussa niihin, mutta aion jatkaa kolmiosaisen sarjan parissa joskus tulevaisuudessa. Sara Mackenzie on muuten peitenimi historiallista romantiikkaa kirjoittavalle Sara Bennettille. Tämä oli ensimmäinen lukemani kirja häneltä ja kannustaa kokeilemaan myös Sara Bennettin tuotantoa.
