Sydney Croftin luoma ACRO-maailma on lumonnut minut. Unleashing the Storm on sarjan toinen osa. Sarjaan kuuluu myös mammutti-novellikokoelmassa ilmestynyt lyhyt novelli, joka olisi ehkä hyvä lukea ennen tätä. Kirja keskittyy Tomin ja Kiran suhteeseen, mutta ensimmäisessä osassa esitellyt Devin ja Ozin sekä Annikan ja Creedin suhteet kehittyvät nekin siinä sivussa. Tämä osa vahvisti käsitystäni siitä, että sarja on ehdottomasti eroottisen paranormaalin romantiikan ja jännityksen edustaja. Kirja on muheva sekoitus kaikkia aineksia ja taustajuoni kehittyy arvaamattomalla tavalla niin, että lukija jää odottamaan seuraavaa osaa vesi kielellä. Sitten pari sanaa sankariparista. Kira on vegaani eläinaktivisti, joka osaa kommunikoida eläinten kanssa. Tom on lähetetty värväämään hänet ACRO:n riveihin ennen kuin kilpailija pääsee naiseen käsiksi. Jos Kira ei suostu liittymään järjestöön, Tomin tulee tappaa hänet. Ei siis mikään maailman paras alku rakkaussuhteelle. Tom peittelee varsin mallikkaasti tehtävänsä todellista luonnetta ja voittaa Kiran luottamuksen puolelleen. Oman mausteensa soppaan heittää Kiran alkava kiima-aika, joka edellyttää seksiä joka neljäs tunti. Luvassa on siis parin tiivistä ja kuumaa yhdessäoloa. Erityisesti synkän ja armottoman Tomin lankeamista rakkauteen on nautinnollista seurata. Hieno kokonaisuus, joka herättää ruokahalua hypätä heti seuraavan osan kyytiin.
